Jasper Housing Authority

Jasper Housing Authority, established in 1940, provides decent, affordable housing for eligible low-income families and individuals, people with disabilities, and the elderly through 322 Public Housing units and manages 293 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV). Housing Choice Vouchers, previously Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, funded by the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). JHA is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners.

Mission Statement
The mission of the JHA is to provide superior housing of choice to low-income families and other families needing quality housing in the City of Jasper, Walker County. We are committed to enhance the quality of life by assisting families toward achieving and transitioning to greater opportunities and promote self-sufficiency and economic independence for residents.
